(More customer reviews)All of my other portioning scoops are made by the Italian company Piazza like the Piazza 1-1/2-Inch Ice cream Scoop, Stainless Steel. I prefer this type of scoop where you squeeze the handles together instead of the thumb style. And this Kuchenprofi scoop needs just a bit less effort to squeeze than my Piazzas. I know that portioning scoops usually have the number of scoops (servings) to a quart stamped on the scoop. Unfortunately, this scoop does not have a size stamped on it. This is a number 30 scoop (30 scoops to a quart). Cooks Illustrated recommends a #30 scoop for home kitchens possibly since this means the scoop holds about 1 oz. I'm even surprised that the Kuchenprofi emblem is not stamped anywhere on this scoop. Every other Kuchenprofi kitchen item I have has its emblem stamped on it.
The box says it has a five year guarantee.
